Flare Stack Module Installation at Duqm Refinery

Project Description: In Duqm Refinery Oman, Hareket as the heavy lift service provider to the Petrofac Samsung J.V. in EPC 2 Area has successfully completed the installation of super tall flare derrick structure. The flare was built in several sections and was installed by a Terex Demag CC6800 crawler crane with 1250T capacity.  The all the modules weighting between 20 tons to 220 tons were installed by a team of diverse professionals. The final lift was executed at 178 meters high from ground level. Hareket Duqm Heavy Lift Team has carefully planned the whole heavy lift operation long time with together with EPC 2 team. Petrofac Safety Manager has congratulated the Hareket team last week who had been working at all angles to safely install the flare in time.

Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company L.L.C is a Joint Venture (JV) between OQ and Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI).Once the refinery is completed, it will have the capacity to process around 230,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Diesel, jet fuel, naphtha and LPG are to be its primary products.
