Barge Upgrading Project

Project Description: 125 meters long heavy-lift barge with 5.000-ton weight has been hauled out of the water by rolling on marine airbags with strand jacks at Yalova HAT-SAN Shipyard. In the second phase of the project 2 units of SPMT’s with 10 axle lines each, removed the dismantled rear section weighing 550-ton. Then new produced 660-ton section was transported from the production site and aligned between the front and rear sections successfully. With the addition of the new section, the barge length has increased to 151 meters, and she is expected to reach 6500 tons when the conversion is completed.
